Copper is a natural product will naturally oxidise over time, usually darkening in appearance. As a living material, it is ever changing in its colour and appearance, requiring very little maintenance – cleaning usually only requires washing up liquid and a soft cloth. Regardless of what is spilled onto the surface, copper can be cleaned back to the original shiny surface.
The material is hard wearing, suitable for use in busy environments. As a ‘soft’ metal, copper can be prone to scratching easily and will dent if a heavy item is dropped on it. When exposed to heat, copper will expand. It is not suited to extreme temperatures as this can cause the surface to delaminate.
Copper is an eco-friendly material and can be recycled at the end of its life.
